Creative Technology (MicroDesign) Ltd is based in the UK, and operates under the jurisdiction of English law. Our obligations in our dealings with customers fall within the scope of the UK's Sale of Goods Act and Distance Selling Act, and comply with English and European comsumer protection legislation.
Our terms and conditions of trading do not affect your statutory rights.
Delivery
For software products registered online, we guarantee to respond to your order within 5 working days of receiving it. Orders are normally processed within two working days.
For products supplied by mail-order, we guarantee that your goods will be delivered within 28 days. Normally goods will be shipped within 2 working days of receiving your order - if we are unable to despatch your order within 10 working days of receiving it, we will inform you of the reasons for the delay, and offer the option to cancel the order.
Pricing and Currency
Please note that our charges are made in Pounds Sterling. The prices displayed on our pages in other currencies are approximate, and provided for information only. If you use our online ordering system, you will be charged in pounds, and the exact amount charged in your local currency depends on the exchange rates used by your credit card company at the time when they process the transaction. We have no control over this.
However, we update our exchange rates every week, and we guarantee that the prices we display are accurate to within 5%.
If you would like to receive an invoice in your local currency, we can usually arrange this - please contact us by email for more information.
VAT And Other Taxes
If you are located in the UK, you will automatically be charged VAT at 20% on all purchases. If you are located outside the UK, you will not be charged any other taxes or tarriffs by us - but your purchase may incur local taxes according to the tax laws in your local country or region.
Credit and Debit Card Payments
We accept credit and debit card payments using the Paypal online payment gateway. This is compatible with Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa and American Express cards. Please note that we do not see, handle or process any of the credit card information you enter when you make an online payment to us.
Bank Transfer Payments
If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact us by email for bank details. When paying by bank transfer, please ensure that all transaction costs are paid by you, so that the full amount stated on the invoice is credited to our account. If we do not receive the full invoice amount, we will be unable to fulfil your order.
Cheque Payments
Cheque payments are welcome. If you wish to pay using a cheque made out in UK Pounds, there is no extra charge. But if you wish to pay using a cheque in a different currency, we may need to make a small charge to cover the cost of processing the cheque.
Returns and Refunds
For software licence sales such as Markin and Textoys, where you can use a full demonstration version of the program before purchasing, we do not normally allow refunds. Please evaluate these programs thoroughly before purchase, to ensure that the program is suitable for your needs.
