Hosting TexToys Exercises at hotpotatoes.net

hotpotatoes.net is a new hosting system for exercises produced using TexToys. When you have finished creating your exercise, and you are ready to export it as a web page, you can upload the exercise to hotpotatoes.net from within TexToys, without using a file transfer or web browser program to upload.

Easy uploading is only part of the benefit. When your students complete TexToys exercises which you upload to hotpotatoes.net, the results of these exercises are stored, and you can log into the site and look at these results. You can also download the results in a format suitable for pasting into spreadsheets or other programs.

All full TexToys licences include a one-year free hosting account at hotpotatoes.net. As an Account holder, you can log into the system, and create accounts for your students. Students can then log in using the name and password which you allocate to them, and complete the exercises you upload. When the student has finished the exercise, the results are sent automatically to the server, where they are stored.

As well as providing results, hotpotatoes.net also provides a very simple uploading facilty - when you have finished creating your exercise, you can publish it on the hotpotatoes.net site with a couple of mouse-clicks.
